25 janvier 2019 - Frédéric Chopin
Emilie Capulet

Chopin is the romantic composer par excellence: a romantic, lacking in good health, a contradictory and emblematic genius, he was inspired as much by the Polish folk dances of his homeland, as by the romantic lyricism of the Italian Bel Canto and the refined atmosphere of the artistic salons of Parisian high society.
Chopin did not speak much about his own works, but we do have many testimonials from his circle of friends that allude to his music, his life and his aesthetics. From George Sand to Franz Liszt, from his piano students to the evocations of Proust, we discover in this concert-conference, the immense influence of this composer. Through her music and lyrics, Emilie Capulet takes us from Warsaw to Paris, through the tumultuous and tragic life of one of the greatest pianists of the 19th century.
